With EZ-Direct Deposit™, transferring Vendor Bills (bill payment), Employee Checks, and Collecting pre-authorized payments from your customers (EFT) from Peachtree^® Accounting and Quantum Software through your Bank or Credit Union is a snap.

EZ-Direct Deposit™ is the key to preparing Peachtree Accounting Vendor and Payroll direct Deposits for processing by the world-wide network of financial institutions. When used in conjunction with Peachtree Software's Pay Bills and Payroll Entry functions, EZ-Direct Deposit™ will provide you with the ability to forward direct deposit transactions in a NACHA format to your bank(s) using a variety of customizable options.

Used by hundreds of individuals, companies, and financial institutions, EZ-Direct Deposit™ is easiest and the key to preparing Customer, Vendor and Payroll direct deposits for processing by the world-wide network of financial institutions.

Overview

The files created by EZ-Direct Deposit™ are guaranteed to meet National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA) standards. EZ-Direct Deposit™ creates a NACHA or customized file of deposits for all employees requesting direct deposit. While the standard Payroll module generates registers that detail the transactions, EZ-Direct Deposit™ is required to actually send transmissions to your financial institutions.

EZ-Direct Deposit™ gives companies using Peachtree^® Software the ability to provide an important employee benefit while making the job of "doing the Payroll" easier!

What is EZ-Direct Deposit™?

EZ-Direct Deposit™ is a Direct Deposit Interface that works with Peachtree Accounting. EZ-Direct Deposit™'s purpose is to create and send file transmissions of the Direct Deposit data generated within Peachtree to your financial institution, which will then re-transmit the Direct Deposit data to the financial institutions of Direct Deposit participants.

For vendors and employees who are participating in the Direct Deposit program for the first time, EZ-Direct Deposit™ will also transmit the Pre-Note required by the financial institution for approval before Direct Deposits can be made to the new participant's bank account.

How EZ-Direct Deposit™ Works

EZ-Direct Deposit™ creates a NACHA or customized file of deposits for all vendors and employees requesting Direct Deposit. EZ-Direct Deposit™ also gives you the capability to combine the transactions from multiple Peachtree^® companies into one or more transmission files, and to route each transmission to a different Originating Depository Financial Institution (ODFI).

EZ-Direct Deposit™ creates a file using either the standard NACHA format conforming to Automated Clearing House (ACH) Rules and Regulations as published by NACHA, or an alternate customizable ACH format if a non-standard format is required by your ODFI. The EZ-Direct Deposit™ file is produced after the check register updates for all companies to be included in the transmission.

There are several methods available for routing the EZ-Direct Deposit™ file to your financial institution. The EZ-Direct Deposit™ file can be put on diskette or it can be transferred to your bank via your web browser.
