EZ-Direct Deposit™ - Submit Child Care Payments in the EFT/EDI process formats CCD+ or CTX 820, provides employers the ability to submit income-withholding payments electronically to the Automatic Clearing House (ACH) through your Bank or Credit Union.
Employers are turning to banks to help transmit child support payments to federally mandated State Disbursement Units (SDUs). The Federal Government is pushing electronic funds transfer (EFT) to expedite payments to custodial parents, and states are relying heavily on direct deposit because they only have 48 hours to disburse child support payments.
EZ-Direct Deposit™ is the key to preparing income-withholding payments for processing by the world-wide network of financial institutions. When used in conjunction with
QuickBooks Pay Bills, EZ-Direct Deposit™ will provide you with the ability to forward direct deposit
payment transactions to your bank(s) using a variety of customizable options.

Overview
The files created by EZ-Direct Deposit™ are guaranteed to meet National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA) standards. EZ-Direct Deposit™ creates a NACHA or customized file of deposits for all employees requesting direct deposit. While the standard Payroll module generates registers that detail the transactions, EZ-Direct Deposit™ is required to actually send transmissions to your financial institutions.
How EZ-Direct Deposit™ Works
EZ-Direct Deposit™ creates a NACHA or customized file of deposits for all child care payments.
EZ-Direct Deposit™ creates a file using either the standard NACHA format conforming to Automated Clearing House (ACH) Rules and Regulations as published by NACHA, or an alternate customizable ACH format if a non-standard format is required by your ODFI.
There are several methods available for routing the EZ-Direct Deposit™ file to your financial institution. The EZ-Direct Deposit™ file can be put on diskette or it can be transferred to your bank via your web browser.
Works with any version of QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Pro, QuickBooks Premier and Premier Accountant and QuickBooks Enterprise.
EZ-Direct Deposit™ is licensed per seat or per computer. This means that if you want to install it on four computers, you will need to order 4 licenses.
